I don't see that Indes Galantes coming to the Met any time soon.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine the Met EVER programming anything by Rameau, but I know that's not what you meant. Three thoughts went through my mind during the prologue:
ReplyDelete1. How charming is this? (not particularly sexy with what one reviewer called the "jiggly bits" but way charming)
2. Only in Europe...
3. It would only take some flesh-coloured* leotards to make it safe for prime time. I confess I haven't gotten through the entire thing, but I've really enjoyed all I've heard and seen of this performance.
